Deputy Majority leader of the 7th Parliament of Ghana optimistic of delivering

Member of Parliament for Dome-Kwabenya in the Greater Accra Region, and deputy majority leader for the 7th Parliament of Ghana Sarah Adwoa Safo is optimistic she will be able to deliver on her duties as a deputy majority leader in parliament following her experience as a lawyer and serving on many committees of parliament.

In an interview with Starr News she said, “with my experience in parliament for the past 4years having served on very powerful committees like the public accounts committee, constitutional legal and parliamentary affairs committee, I was the deputy ranking member on the committee of foreign affairs and my general practice as a lawyer for 15years.”

According to her “bringing about with all this experience and knowledge I bring forth I believe that I will be able to prosecute the business of government on the floor of parliament to ensure that my government also succeed and parliament also progresses in it duties as a lawmaking body.”

Speaking to challenges that she may face as the first lady occupying that very position she noted that “it mainly a male dominated environment but we progressing as a country that is why this example has been set so I believe that I need to be the key player and be able to work with the male counterpart on both sides.”

She will be assisting the then minority leader, now majority leader and Member of Parliament for Suame in the Ashanti region Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu.
