Dansoman Circuit Supervisor of the Ghana Education Service, Cynthia Twum Ampofo has urged pupils not to be afraid of failure in the pursuit of education.
Speaking at the Ninth Graduation Ceremony of the Step by Step School in Dansoman, Mrs Ampofo said, pupils must consider failure as an opportunity to correct their wrongs and move on to achieve greater heights in education.
“Failure is sometimes inevitable but that must only urge you on to correct the mistakes, learn more and acquire knowledge,†he stated.
Speaking on the theme, “Quality Education is the Target,†she charged the pupils to work hard in their studies and display good social and moral behaviour.
She asked teachers to serve as role models for the pupils while parents must also sacrifice their happiness for the education of their wards.
The ceremony saw 20 pre-school and 19 Junior High School pupils graduating amidst poetry recitals, singing, dancing, cultural displays, and drama witnessed by teachers, management, parents and pupils.

Mavis Akua Kwainoe, the institute’s Proprietress, said that the school, which has been in existence since 1997, has been churning out some of the most academically accomplished students in the country.
“With the best of training, Step by Step’s graduates have gone on to attend first class Senior High Schools in the country and beyond. In the 2015 academic year, after the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) results were released, we came first among all the private schools in the Greater Accra Region and third in the country,†she said.
With such a performance in 2015, and backed by another stellar performance by the 2016 batch, parents, according to Ms. Kwainoe, have been rushing to place their wards in the school.
She advised the pupils to take their future studies seriously, pass with distinction and become the real future leaders this country deserves.
“These graduates should be serious with their academic works and also take their faith seriously. I encourage them to stay strong, be good ambassadors for the school wherever they go and become future leaders,†she added.
