Video: Public unperturbed by collapse of UT Bank and Capital Bank

The banking sector can heave a sigh of relief because it appears the recent collapse of Capital Bank and UT bank has not dampened confidence in the sector. 

There were fears many ordinary people would entertain some reservations over the security of their funds in the banks, but primenewsghana's sample of views on the streets reveals this is not the case at all.

Even the most sceptical people believe it is not safe to keep stashes of cash on them, rather a platform such as mobile money should at least be utilized.

It is evident the decision of the Bank of Ghana to announce in tandem the withdrawal of the licenses of the two banks and their takeover has yielded the desired results, especially when customers still have access to their accounts as normal.
