The Ghana National Gas Company (Ghana Gas) has assured the general public that there will be no interruptions in power supply, commonly referred to as "dumsor," during the upcoming maintenance shutdown of its Gas Processing Plant (GPP) and offshore Gas Export Facilities.

The maintenance is scheduled to take place from August 1 to August 17, 2024.

The Head of Corporate Communications at Ghana Gas, Ernest Kofi Owusu-Bempah Bonsu, in a statement disclosed that despite the shutdown, Lean Gas from the Sankofa-OCTP field will be available for delivery at the Takoradi Distribution Station (TDS), ensuring a continuous supply of gas.

“We deeply regret any inconvenience that the shutdown may cause but want to assure the general public that there will be uninterrupted power supply during this period,” Bonsu stated. “We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety and operational efficiency.”

The planned maintenance is critical for enhancing the plant's operational efficiency and ensuring the safety of its operations. This proactive measure is part of Ghana Gas's commitment to providing reliable energy solutions to the nation.
