The Ghana Grid Company Limited, GRIDCo, says its working to restore electricity supply to some part of the country after disturbances on its transmission network resulted in the cut of electricity supply to some areas.
A statement signed by the Head of Public Relations at GRIDCO Albert Kwesi Quainoo said measures are being put in place to deal with the cut in power supply to the affected areas.
It said, “Ghana Grid Company Limited wishes to inform the general public of a disturbance on its transmission network resulting in the loss of electricity supply to consumers in some parts of the country.â€
Some parts of Accra have been experiencing power outages for about a week now, the power cuts have been consistent with a load shedding regime, the North Industrial area in Accra is one of such areas.
The statement from GRIDCo did not state the nature of disturbance on the transmission network and also the expected date for power to be restored to the affected areas.
