Two Ghanaian Hajj pilgrims have died from various health complications, while in Saudi Arabia, the Hajj Board Chairman, Alhaji Ben Abdullah Banda, has confirmed.
The pilgrims, both from Damongo in the Savanna region, passed away on Sunday, June 9, and Wednesday, June 12, respectively.
Over four thousand Ghanaian pilgrims are currently in Saudi Arabia to participate in the annual Hajj pilgrimage.
The Chairman assured that the deceased were buried according to Islamic customs.
In a related development, Alhaji Banda also shared a piece of uplifting news: a Ghanaian pilgrim gave birth in the holy city of Mecca on Wednesday.
