Parliament is set to begin the fifth meeting of the fourth session on October 15, 2024.
The meeting will take place at the Dome of the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).
This was contained in a summons issued by the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, on Monday, September 30, 2024.
This relocation is necessary due to ongoing renovation work in the main chamber of Parliament, which typically hosts parliamentary sessions.
During a recent two-day emergency sitting at the Dome, Parliament approved a US$250 million loan agreement from the World Bank to support the Ghana Energy Sector Recovery Programme.
This facility had previously been disapproved before the parliamentary recess, highlighting its significance and the urgency for the recall of Parliament on September 3.
