The Ghana Police Service has arrested the driver of the abandoned tipper truck that killed two individuals at Pankrono on Wednesday, November 3, 2021.

 The truck was left on the Tafo-Pankrono road on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, without any warning signs and on the dawn of Wednesday a minibus crushed into it, killing the two passengers that were onboard the vehicle.

 The deceased individuals have been identified as Joyce Konadu aged 50 and Bashiru Abubakar aged 34.

 A resident told Joy News that he heard a loud bang around 2am on Wednesday and he rushed outside to find out the cause of the noise. He said upon reaching the scene, he found out that the minibus had crushed into the rear side of the truck leaving the driver and the passenger dead on the spot.

Another resident told Joy News that he saw the tipper truck on Tuesday parked on the side of the road  but he didn’t see any warning triangle behind it. He also said the truck caused a lot of traffic on the Tafo-Pankrono road.

 Recently, there has been an increase in the rate of road accidents in the country, leaving lots of people dead and injured.
