With almost a month and a couple of weeks to the celebration of Ghana’s 60 years of independence, samples of clothes expected to be used as official apparel for the anniversary have been spotted by Primenewsghana.
All designs spotted has at least a national symbol including a colour or colours from Ghana’s national colours (red, gold and green).
This year’s independence celebration according to President Akufo Addo must be "modest taken into account our strait and financial circumstances but it also should be elegant and appropriate."
 
Meanwhile President Akufo Addo has inaugurated a 30-member Planning Committee to spearhead activities toward the nation’s 60th anniversary.
 
Inaugurating a 30-member planning committee for the celebtration on Thursday, President Nana Akufo-Addo stated that the celebration “should leave with a good feeling about ourselves to celebrate our oneness, our unity...no matter the diversity of opinion and religion we are all fully paid up members of the Ghana project,"
