Management of Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) will tomorrow August 30 hold a meeting to discuss the various issues emerging from the software scandal.
Key among them will be a consideration by SSNIT to retrieve monies paid interdicted IT boss Caleb Afaglo as salary, from October 2015 when he was employed.Â
Caleb Afaglo was interdicted by Economic and Organised Crimes Office (EOCO) for presenting fake documents for his position as the head of the IT department at SSNIT.

According to the anti-graft agency, its investigation reveals that Dr. Afaglo did not have a doctorate degree as he claimed. He neither has a masters’ degree or a first degree.
EOCO interdicted Mr. Afaglo over claims that his certificates are fake and therefore he does not deserve his position at SSNIT.

But Caleb Afaglo has defended his certificate saying “This is not my first job, so there is absolutely no truth in it, none whatsoever. My Ph.D. University closed down in 2011, how is that my fault. And how does that make the degree a fake one when I graduated in 2007.â€
His interdiction comes on the back of allegations of financial malfeasance at SSNIT being investigated by EOCO. The former board of SSNIT led by Prof Joshua Alabi sanctioned the acquisition of an operational business suit which cost the Trust 72million US dollars.
The new management led by Dr. Addo Kuffour will at the meeting discuss the various issues confronting SSNIT and look for possible ways to address them.
