Ambassador Sam Pee Yalley, Ghana’s former High Commissioner to India, has passed away.
He died on Sunday, April 6, 2025, after a brief illness.
The National Communications Director of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi, confirmed his passing.
In a heartfelt message on his Facebook page, Sammy Gyamfi wrote, “A great man has fallen; a man who gave his all for the cause of the NDC. It is truly heart-wrenching.
“Rest well in the bosom of your Maker, Ambassador Sam Pee Yalley. You shall forever remain in our hearts.”
Ambassador Yalley was a distinguished lawyer, diplomat, and public servant who held several prominent government positions.
He served as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the National Pensions Regulatory Authority before President John Dramani Mahama appointed him Ghana’s Ambassador to India in 2014.
