Zesco United coach George Lwandamina says Asante Kotoko's dominance when it comes to games on the continent in the last two decades are over and that his side will cause an upset in front of the vociferous supporters of the Reds in the match-day two of the CAF Confederation Cup.
Asante Kotoko reached the group stages of African Club competition for the first time in 11-years after edging out Kenya's Kariobangi Sharks and Cameroon's Coton Sport of Garoua.
The Porcupine Warriors have been pooled in Group C of the 2018-19 Total CAF Confederation Cup alongside Sudanese heavyweights, Al Hilal Omdurman, Zambian duo, Zesco United and Nkana FC.
Asante Kotoko kick-started their group stage campaign last weekend against Al Hilal in Khartoum and suffered a 1-0 defeat whiles Zesco United thrashed rivals Nkana FC 2-0in Zambia.
The former Chipolopolo manager, Lwandamina in an interview on Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM ahead of his side's all-important battle against Asante Kotoko has thrown shade at the Reds stating that their hays days in African football are over and not a force to reckon with.
"You always respect other people's opinion, you can't dispute any opinion".
"If Kotoko supporters say they will beat us, its no news that they think that way but come to think of it, they are not champions when did they last win the trophy, they won in 1983, since 1984, have they been able to win again, no".
"People still believe they can still do it, they haven't won but people still believe. There are three results in every match, to win, draw or lose. Let's just wait for the day".
"Kotoko is not near the champions of CAF Champions League and Confederations Cup", he bragged.

The Kumasi-based side are unbeaten at home since 2015 and they will look forward to continuing their dominance on Wednesday.
Asante Kotokoface group C leaders Zesco United at the Baba Yara Stadium at 1 PM on Wednesday, February 13 ahead of home duels with Nkana FC and Al Hilal.
