Asante Kotoko continued their impressive performance in the 2019/20 CAF Champions League as they eased past over Etoile Sahel.

The Ghanaian club put up a dominant display as they recorded a 2-0 victory over their Tunisian counterpart in the first leg of the CAF Champions League at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Goals from Augustine Okrah and Richard Arthur ensured the Porcupines hold a first leg advantage heading into the return in Tunis in two-weeks time.

In the course of the week CAF gave the Porcupines the green light to use Augustine Okrah and Jordan Opoku after the duo missed the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League against Kano Pillars due to issues with their registration.

Augustine Okrah's availability turned out to be the best thing to have happen to Kotoko as the former Al Hilal attacker broke the virginity of the game inside the first 3 minutes.

The attacker hit a well taken free from the edge of the box to put the Reds in the driving seat. Okrah nearly had his second on the day but his drive came off the crossbar.

Back from the break, Kotoko continued from where they left off, pinning Etoile du Sahel in the own half in search of the second goals.

The pressure paid off as Richard Arthur doubled the lead for the Porcupines after tapping in from a close range.

The Ghana Premier League giants will travel to Tunis in a fortnight time for the second leg tie at Stade Olympique de Sousse.
