Former Zambia FA President Kalusha Bwalya's ban by the World Football governing body FIFA has been partially upheld by the Appeals Committee.
The decision was made public through a press statement posted on FIFA's official website.Â
The Appeals Committee reduced the two-year ban to the period already served at the time of the notification of the present decision.
The adjudicatory chamber of the independent Ethics Committee banned the 1988 African footballer of the year back in August after they found him guilty of having violated art. 16 (Confidentiality) and art. 20 (Offering and accepting gifts and other benefits) of the FIFA Code of Ethics.
