President of the Ghana Football Association Kwesi Nyantakyi has been appointed by the Confederation of Africa Football(CAF) as President of Africa's 2018 World Cup Committee.Â
Nyantakyi doubles as the 1st Vice President of CAF.
The Committee will be tasked with helping CAF to provide support for African representatives at the World Cup next year.
Nyantakyi will be joined by Zambian football legend and CAF EXCO member, Kalusha Bwalya, Amaju Pinnick(Nigerian FA President),Hany Abo Rida(Egypt FA President), Fouzi Lakjaa(Morocco FA President), Augustin Senghor (Senegal FA President) and Wadii Jari(Tunisian FA President).
The Committee is expected to hold it's first meeting on the sidelines of the draw for the FIFA World Cup next month.Â
