Mohammed La's late equalizer claimed a vital draw for Medeama against Asante Kotoko at the Essipong Stadium on Wednesday 14 October 2018.
Asante Kotoko drew first blood before half-time through Emmanuel Gyamfi's strike in the 29th minute as he tore into the penalty box after going round Bright Enchil, and waited for goalkeeper Ofori Antwi to commit himself before shooting into the far post.
The Kumasi-based side held on till the whistle was blown for halftime. Though Medeama controlled large portions of the game, Kotoko led at halftime.

The yellow and mauves up their game in the second half and grabbed an 88th-minute equalizer through Mohammed La.
The Porcupine Warriors have been very active in the offseason, signing 11 new players with eight of them included in the Confederations Cup squad.

The game forms part of Asante Kotoko's 10-day training camp in the Western Region ahead of their Confederation Cup campaign.
Kotoko will face the winner of the Cameroonian FA Cup final which will be contested by Eding FC and Lion Blessé FC in the Confederation Cup.
