Denmark beat Peru 1-0 in a Group C match of the Russia 2018 World Cup.
Both teams needed a win after France earlier beat Australia 2-1 in the first Group C game.
Denmark had to do some bit of defending in the early stages of the game as Peru started with an attacking intent.

Both teams settled at the latter stages of the game but Peru won a penalty in the dying embers of the first half.
Christian Cueva stepped up but couldn't keep his cool and skied the bar high.
The first half ended 0-0. Denmark improved on their game in the 2nd half and got the all-important goal in the 59th minute.
Yussuf Poulsen slotted the ball past Pedro Gallese from a tight angle after being teed up Christian Eriksen.

Denmark held on to record a 1-0 victory.
