Hearts of Oak coach Samuel Boadu believes the Ghana Premier League title race is not yet over despite trailing leaders Asante Kotoko by 15 points.

The defending champions suffered a 1-0 defeat at Nana Agyemang Badu I Park on Sunday to Aduana Stars which was their fifth loss of the season.

Aduana FC scored seconds before halftime and held on for their first win over Hearts of Oak under Coach Samuel Boadu.

Boadu's side had not lost in their previous two meetings against Aduana FC and came into the clash high on confidence after back-to-back wins against Asante Kotoko and WAFA.

Sam Adams converted that proved the match winner as he received a through pass in a good position before calmly smashing home the ball to beat substitute goalkeeper Richmond Ayi with a powerful low effort.

However, Samuel Boadu who was speaking after the game is confident his side can bounce back and challenge Asante Kotoko for the title.

“The title race is not yet over,” Boadu said.

“This is football, the boys played well but were not able to convert their chances.”

Hearts of Oak are now in 6th place on the league log with 29 points from 20 games and will take on AshantiGold in the next game.
