The WAFU Cup of Nations tournament will commence tomorrow in Ghana as countries in the West African sub-region battle for superiority in Football.
The tournament will run from the 9th to the 24th of September. The Cape Coast Stadium will be the venue to host all the matches.
This tournament is a preserve for West African players who ply their locally. 16 teams have been drawn in into two groups and will battle it out for the ultimate.

Ghana will commence the tournament as they face Gambia tomorrow at 3 pm at the Cape Coast Stadium.
The winner of the tournament will pocket US$ 100,000 as the ultimate prize. The Local Black Stars representing Ghana are poised to make amends for their inability to qualify for the CHAN tournament next year by winning the WAFU.
