Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram Sam George has described the violence that marked the Ayawaso by-election as an "Action" movie.

The violence according to Sam George who was testifying before the Commission of Inquiry started after a scuffle over keys to a building in the area where NDC activists were.

Sam George who was assaulted on that day by one of the National security operatives described the incident as an "Action" movie.

"I took cover against a wall because the next 60 seconds appeared to be like an "Action" movie, I saw the armed men pull out weapons and fired"

"I saw Double ( One of the operatives) also point his AK47 and attempted to fire but the gun jammed, I saw him clear his chamber, reload and fire several rounds"

"Recounting this leaves me a little traumatized because this was live fire, I kept screaming for it to stop and after about 60 seconds, the firing seized.

Sam George also produced the empty shells to the Commission and also said he did not provoke the SWAT team but was only calling on them to stop brutalizing the NDC members.

The Ayawaso by-election was characterized by violence which resulted in some 13 people sustaining injuries.

This made President Akufo-Addo set up a Commission of Inquiry to investigate what caused the unfortunate incident.
