Hundreds of security personnel deployed to maintain law and order at the March for Justice demonstration were on high alert as protestors hit the streets. The crowd of protesters started sparsely at the Accra Mall, the starting point, but subsequent images from the march showed a thickening crowd of agitated youth determined to send a strong message to the Nana Akufo-Addo-led administration at the Jubilee House.

The US mission in Ghana warned its citizens in the country to move with caution over possible outcomes of the March for Justice demonstrations today.  In a press statement on its website, the US Embassy in Ghana said told citizens to be wary of the large crowd and disruption of traffic that the demonstration is likely to occasion.
