Former Arsenal and England defender Sol Campbell has been confirmed as the new manager of struggling League Two side Macclesfield Town FC.
The 44-year-old hard tackling defender, who also played for Tottenham concluded negotiations on Tuesday, November 27 morning before an official announcement was made in the afternoon.
Campbell took to Instagram to after the announcement sharing a photo of himself in a shirt and tie with the caption: ‘Football moves fast! My work started 2 years ago. Keep on moving!’

Campbell is now set to watch his new side in action against Exeter City on Tuesday night. Â
Macclesfield are currently bottom of the league with 10 points from 19 matches.
