Accra representative of Asante Kotoko Nana Kwame Dankwa has confirmed that his outfit will leave Ghana for Kenya on Tuesday for their CAF Confederation Cup game against Kariobangi Sharks.
The Porcupine Warriors, who are Ghana's sole representative in the CAF Confederation Cup were expected to travel to Kenya on Wednesday, December 13, for the first leg of the competition against Kariobangi Sharks, which would be played between 14th-16th December and the second leg scheduled for the Baba Yara Stadium, Kumasi, a week later.
However, the club's Accra rep has refuted the claims and confirmed that they will rather enplane to the East African country on Tuesday.
"Management of Asante Kotoko has uttered their travelling plans from Wednesday to Tuesday," Nana Kwame told Oyerepa FM.
"The team will leave on Tuesday and transit at Ethiopia, will leave Ethiopia on Wednesday for Kenya."
Kotoko gained a walkover in the first round of the competition following their Cameroonian opponent's inability to reach the deadline for certain requirements by CAF.
