CK Akonnor solely in charge of transfers – Sarfo Duku

Asante Kotoko spokesperson Sarfo Duku has reiterated that the head coach of the club, CK Akonnor is solely in charge of transfer activities.

Football experts have advised the club to sign players based on the recommendation of the head coach following their previous management style of signing players regardless of the gaffer's decision.

However, according to the communication director, the club has given absolute power to the CK Akonnor and he is fully responsible for the signings of players.

“You see player recruitment is under the jurisdiction of the coach. If the coach recommends this or that player to us that he is satisfied then we shall go ahead to examine those players medically and offer them contracts.” Sarfo Duku said at the post-match press conference of the Kotoko 3 Save African Child 1 game on Sunday.

CK Akonnor has been tasked to win any of the continental championships for the club in his three-year-stay at the club.
