Following the release of Shatta Wale on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, fans could not help but express their joy for their favourite entertainer.

A fan told the United Television reporter that the controversial musician did what he did to make the IGP, George Akuffo Dampare popular.

He added that he wouldn’t have known Mr George Dampare if not for the arrest of the popular dancehall musician.

“We are hyping the IGP. SM is hyping the IGP. I didn’t know him until he arrested Shatta Wale. This is a small case. We are hyping the IGP,” he said.

Another fan who also spoke said that she is very happy that the king of dancehall has finally been set free, and no matter what happens to him, his crown can never be taken from him.

Shatta Wale was arrested on October 19, 2021, for causing fear and panic to Ghanaians, together with three others while Rapper Medikal was also arrested for brandishing a gun on social media.

They were granted bail by an Accra circuit to the sum of GHC100, 000 each on Tuesday, October 26, 2021.

They are to re-appear before the court on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, to be heard after their bail.
