Black Stars skipper Asamoah Gyan has added his voice to the lynching of captain Mahama by condemning the act.
The military officer was lynched on Monday morning by residents of Denkyira-Obuasi who mistook him for a criminal.
The former Sunderland Striker in a tweet said "Never again Ghana! Doing this to our own blood? such has gone on far too long. Lets all come to end such horrific acts. ASAP."
Several personalities including President Akufo-Addo and former President Rawlings have criticised the act by the residents of Denkyira and are calling for justice.
