The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon have won their fifth African Cup of Nations (AFCON) title after beating The Pharoahs of Egypt 2-1 in the grand finale of the 2017 AFCON.

Egypt took the lead in the 22nd through Mohammed Elneny whose sidefooted effort after a fine pass from Mohammed Salah beat Fabrice Ondoa in the Cameroon goal.

Cameroon equalised through substitute Nkoulou who headed home a cross from Moukandjo after Egypt failed to clear a corner.

Just as when extra time was looming, another substitute, Vincent Aboubakar conjured magic in the 88th minute to win the game for Cameroon.

After trapping a long pass from Siani on the edge of the Egypt box, he lobbed the ball Gabr before chipping in the goal.

The feat makes Cameroon, who last won the competition in 2002, the second most successful side in the AFCON.Â
